Kenneth Latz is a recognized expert with more than 25 years of professional experience spanning asset management, private capital fund advisory, restructuring advisory, litigation consulting, valuation advisory, the management of performing and underperforming companies and public accounting.
Ken is frequently called upon to assist with the resolution of challenging and high-profile circumstances involving private capital funds, serving as advisor, expert witness or principal/fiduciary.
Ken is a recognized expert in the areas of alternative asset valuation, economic damage quantification and fund governance. He frequently assists private capital fund stakeholders in connection with commercial litigation, informal disputes and fraud and forensic investigations.
In his capacity as a restructuring advisor, Ken has represented the interests of debtor and creditor constituencies in out-of-court restructurings and formal bankruptcy settings in a variety of industries, including retail, consumer products, natural resources, distribution, automotive, manufacturing, healthcare, telecommunications, and technology. Ken has also served on numerous corporate boards and in various other executive management roles for performing and underperforming companies, including president, chief executive officer, chief financial officer and chief restructuring officer.
Prior to co-founding the firm, Ken was a Senior Managing Director at Riveron Consulting (and its predecessor firm, Conway MacKenzie), where he led the Private Fund Services practice, which he established in 2009 and oversaw until his departure. Prior to his roles and Riveron and Conway MacKenize, Ken served as Interim Chief Financial Officer of a direct marketer of women’s apparel, where he played a critical role in the execution of a comprehensive financial and operational restructuring of the business. Previously, Ken was Director of Underwriting at a privately held distressed principal investment firm and a Manger in the Transaction Services practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Ken began his career in the audit practice of Deloitte & Touche.
Ken received a Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and a Certified Turnaround Professional.
